CBS was a victim?

So let me see if I get this straight. CBS is given documents that it took those on the internet, oh, about two hours to prove that they were fake...and somehow CBS is the one that was deceived? I mean, if by deceived you mean "We have no journalistic standards, an apparent inability to do any investigative journalism, and a staff that it so anacrhonistic that it can't differentiate between typewriters and Microsoft Word"...then yeah, deceived probably works. Otherwise, this "CBS was a victim of the entire thing" is a total joke.
